Football

Football is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each, usually on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The objective of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal. Players primarily use their feet to play the ball, although they can use any part of their bodies except their arms and hands (goalkeepers are an exception), and the game is played in two halves of 45 minutes each. Football is known for its strategic play, teamwork, and skillful ball handling, and it is governed internationally by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The sport is one of the world’s most popular and widely viewed, with governing bodies in various countries overseeing local and international competitions, including major events such as the FIFA World Cup. Football has numerous styles and variations, including association football (soccer) and American football among others, each with its own set of rules.
