Table Tennis

Table Tennis, also known as Ping Pong, is a competitive indoor sport in which players hit a lightweight, plastic ball back and forth across a table using small, solid rackets. The game is played on a rectangular table divided by a net, with the objective of scoring points by making the ball bounce on the opponent’s side of the table in a manner that they cannot successfully return it.

Players can compete in singles (one-on-one) or doubles (two-on-two) matches. The sport is governed by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), which establishes the rules and regulations of play. Matches are typically played as a best-of-five or best-of-seven format, with players scoring points until one reaches a predetermined score, usually 11 or 21 points, winning by at least a two-point margin.

Table Tennis is known for its fast pace and the requirement of quick reflexes, precision, and strategy. It enjoys global popularity, with numerous professional tournaments and a strong presence in both recreational and competitive settings.
